The Ashford Model Supply Centre is a new
model shop in Ellingham Way, Ashford Kent. We have rolled up the
shutters and opened its doors for business. This new model shop is for
all modellers from 8 to 108.
Terry, Ken and Linda, who run the Centre, first went into business as
Wholesale Planes, importing a range of aircraft and fittings, and have
been attending the modelling shows and exhibitions for some years.
The
store will be selling everything for the builder, DIY and specialist
hobbyist. For example you can buy everything from an ARTF to balsa, wing
bands to tools, IC and electric from brand names that you know such as
Ripmax, Graupner, Weston UK and Perkins. To some, that you may not, such
as Tiger Shark engines and Richmodel.
We
have a wide price range with quality goods from economy prices to the
top of the range. We have experts on hand to help you choose the models
and parts that you need, and if we don't stock what you want, then we
will order it straight away for you. We don't go in for gimmicks,
we will be consistently priced, and passing on the bargain purchases we
make as discount to our customers."
The
Model Supply Centre will be inviting experts on a regular basis to
demonstrate and advise modellers at the in house Build Clinics.
In
the first instance
we wanted to expand our warehouse premises and the new site offered the
room to supply directly to modellers in the South East and through our
online facilities to the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. Not everyone
wants the long haul to the vast and impersonal superstores. We offer an
efficient friendly service, good products, excellent prices and staff
who want to be helpful and really know their stuff."

shop was opened to all by Mayor of Ashford Mrs Rita Hawes with media and
invited guests and new customers on Saturday May 10th 2008
The
shop is open Tuesday to Saturday during the winter and Tuesday to
Thursday in the summer when we attend the shows around the UK and
Europe.
